The Flow Game for teams
How do we unleash the potential of our teams to amplify our work?
What would it take to bring your teamwork to the next level, gain new perspectives on challenging issues, create shared understanding or a different quality of relationship?
The Flow Game is a powerful tool for creating an interactive reflection, dialogue and action space for groups, teams and individuals. Working through a game is a simple and unique way for teams of people to work with common questions, issues or challenges, and gain a fresh perspective and wise action. It can be extremely useful for team integration, setting common ways of working, and working through purpose and values, long-standing challenges or future strategies.
The Flow Game is a key partner in our own work at Campfire Co-op. We play a game to welcome new members in, to be sure there is alignment and to share and deepen understanding of each other and the organisation. We play at our bi-annual retreats, as a way to explore our strategic focus for the coming months, weeks and years ahead. It’s an honest partner and guide.
We were invited to host a game for Evolution at Work, an organisation supporting the next stage of leadership development. Part of their retreat in Vienna, it helped the international team gain shared clarity of the purpose of their work.
Whether your team is new, or already formed, or whether you are a leadership team, Board, or department or project team, volunteer or paid - the Flow Game can be impactful. A small team or teams play with their own purpose and question, adapted to need and context.
We are fortunate to have seven trained Flow hosts to support teams with an inquiry. This allows us to host larger teams simultaneously, for wider clarity, online anywhere or in person across eastern Australia.
If you have played a number of Flow Games, and feel strongly called to become a host yourself, get in touch.
We look forward to playing with you!
In the words of ...
Going through the Flow Game with the members of Evolution at Work at our Purpose Agent Retreat brought a very special depth to our gathering. With the Game we were able to take a deep dive into the question "What does the world need from EaW now?", which took us on a playful, yet deeply meaningful journey to rich and transformative answers. Because of the nature of the Flow Game and the way Mel opened and held the space, everybody could contribute in a unique and equally important way.
